Places to V.shop: Wimbledon Boot Sale
Wimbledon boot sale is a heavens for those who love bargains and are not afraid to get their hands dirty. If you have patience and enough determination you can get there anything for nothing! Literally! Many times towards the end of the market sale one of the sellers shouts - everything has to go - all for free! That's is one of these reasons when sometimes is better to go later rather than earlier to a boot sale.
As would entry price suggest - the earlier you get there the better deal you may find - that may be truth if you are looking for something very particular! In my experience its quite good to bargain towards the end of sale when sellers are quite keen to sell the stock even if it means lowering the price.
Wimbledon Boot Sale offers a variety of stock - house removal furniture, clothes, vintage & antique items, building tools, cheap household products, fresh meat & vegetables, crockery and silverware or even old vinyls. For us it has been constant source of artistic & creative inspiration for 20-50p a piece. Well see it for yourself!

Tube: Wimbledon tube/rail
ENTRY: varies depending on the day but usually £2 for the first hour of the sale, £1/50p thereafter
OPENING HOURS: 9.30am - 4.30pm
SIZE: approximately 200+ stalls
PRICE RANGE: various from free & 20p/50p to £80/£100 for bigger furniture pieces and more for antiques. Definitely a place to get a bargain.
STOCK: everything! but varies depending on the day - traders seem to have their regular dates - Sunday seem to be the least busy day.
FACILITIES: toilets are available at the stadium - but I would avoid them unless absolutely desperate. Some basic food & drink available at the market but there is nice cafe just at the entry to the market parking. They serve all day English breakfast , good coffee & they have clean toilets!
